About Us

The First Baptist Church of Hillsdale, Wisconsin is an Independent Baptist Church in fellowship with the Wisconsin Fellowship of Baptist Churches. Our church was founded in 1876, giving it a history of 148 years.

Our reason for existence is to be a voice sharing the Gospel in the Barron County area. Our statement of purpose defines our ministry responsibility and outreach to those around us. It is found in the statement of Christ recorded in Matthew 28:19-20

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you unto the end of the world."
